Who We Are:
The Scottish Rite is a Masonic organization that extends the education of Master Masons by building upon the ethical teachings and philosophy of Ancient Craft Masonry. This is achieved through allegorical and dramatic presentations in a series of degrees. These degrees, ranging from the 4th to the 32nd, explore philosophy, history, ethics, and truths that guide Freemasons’ lives. An honorary 33rd Degree is awarded for exceptional service.
Our organization is based in the historic Eau Claire Masonic Temple, located in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In addition to housing the Valley, the building is shared with three Masonic Lodges—George B. Wheeler Lodge, Sanctuary Lodge, and Eau Claire Lodge—as well as the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin.
The Valley of Eau Claire is a four (4) Body Valley comprised of:
- Lodge of Perfection (4°–14°)
- Council of Princes of Jerusalem (15°–16°)
- Chapter of Rose Croix (17°–18°)
- Consistory (19°–32°)
